Productive day

It was a productive day yesterday. It started early in the morning--done with gas and securing air tire before going to work. During lunch, went out to pay hubby's SSS, buy meds, little grocery and bought slippers for the little one. When I came home, I made 2 dozen of chocolate cupcakes for the kiddo. She will be selling them at school and she's pretty excited about it. Of course, I did play with the little one which is the highlight of the day. Then we doze off....zzzz..

Anyway.. will be making some more cupcakes later and this time, it's gonna choco-banana.

Movie time

I recently watched the movie--Ricki and the flash on HBO. Ricki: a one-time wife and mother of three who left her family behind to follow her dreams of rock 'n' roll stardom in California. Now, the singer and guitarist must face the music when she returns home to Indiana to reconnect with ex-husband and troubled daughter. I must say Meryl Streep did a great job on the film. I like her vocal style and stage presence. I also dig the gibson sg custom guitar of the lead guitarist. Vintage. In the movie, he had all the courage to sell his precious gibson for Ricki. Ouch. But that's love right. Anyway, I love the ending when they perform during her son's wedding. She's a musician. That's all she can give--music.

Early Christmas gift

I'm thinking what Christmas gift I would get for the hubby. He is currently working overseas so I would now get caught even if I buy the gift as early as now. I have a couple of items in mind--sports watch, DM boots and the m-audio bx5 d2.Okay let's break down my list... Sports watch. This is a good item that I know he can use because he likes to go biking. The watch I saw is good more monitoring the heart, running, biking, swimming etc. Now I'm thinking if I'll get same watch too. Second is the DM boots. He still gets crazy about getting one. It's his lifelong dream. But I fear that I might buy the wrong size. I was told that the size might defer considering where it was made. And the third is the m-audio bx5 d2. I know for a fact that he likes sound trippin' especially in the computer. So I know he'll love it too. I know I only have a couple of months to decide but I'm sure he'll love whatever I get him.

Dream

I had this dream that I was going to this band practice with my former band mates. In my dream, I was doing that familiar routine--preparing my gear, checking what to wear, thinking on what to talk about like the Code 412 cabinet amp that I was checking online, suggesting what to eat afterwards....all that good stuff. I woke up having that familiar excitement and adrenaline that I miss this past year. Yup! It's been more than a year since I held a guitar and played an instrument and miss it. Literally, I miss playing. I know I wanna to go back at least to that hobby because I wanna team up with my eldest daughter whose slowly molding into a potential singer someday. I don't when exactly when but definitely not in a few months. But I will. We will. So stay tuned.
