Everybody seemed to give a buzz about this Magnum ice cream so I tried one the other day. I found myself finishing the bar in 60 seconds! *diet ruined* Anyway, I had the Belgium chocolate one and I think almond and truffles are better (I just think so coz I haven't tasted them yet). Wedding this weekend

My friend is gonna get married this Friday and I'm excited much. I wanna be there early so I can witness the bride walk down the aisle, because for me, a wedding means a lady (bride) takes big step to a new journey into her life. And another thing of course is that we get to dress formal haha. Well, it's not everyday we look ravishing with hot cocktails dress, killer heels, and suits and cufflinks right. Plus, I'll get to see my old friends so excited... excited... excited.

Moving again (will see)

I got news from my sister that we might move again, and this time no rents anymore. This will be a big help for us since we badly need to pay debts and save a lot for the kiddo's school. What I'm thinking about is the pack, move and unpacking part. I can't imagine I'll pack all our stuff again, including bags, shoes, hubby's tools like spanner wrench etc. We might not bring our other appliances which is a good thing. Let's see what will happen.

Saving up

I remembered the kiddo's bear bank the other day. I was suppose to count the kiddo's money savings inside and put it in the bank. She's saving money to buy an ipad and a car. Yup! She has high hopes and I'm proud of her. This is also another way of teaching her the importance of saving money. And since we'll get the ipad this weekend, she knows she still needs to save up for the car instead. She mentioned, she wanted a fast car hahaha. Sometimes we borrow my dad's van if we need to go somewhere and the kiddo told me it's too slow. Well, we don't really need to go fast, do we? hahaha.

Speaking of my dad's van. Will be using it again this weekend because we plan to have a family day together since it's my rest day.

I know RVs are bigger and much slower. Or do they? I don't know. But if RVs are a hit here in the country, it'll be all hell for parking slots.

I wonder where does the rv owners go for rv repairs.

Birthday coming up...

My sister told me, it's her MIL's 60th birthday on the 6th of Feb and they're going to have a party at Polo Club. I asked my sister if I can go because I really want to go to Polo Club and see the venue. And all the plus plus comes with it hahaha.. like the food, the party and the souvenirs. And based from party experiences, they give out the best souvenirs. From birthdays, wedding, and Christmas season. I wonder what they'll give out this time. Maybe lapel pins, for the kitchen or a piece of appliance. But whatever it is, the party will surely be a blast!

Birthday gift

I finally got my copy of our family picture which was taken last week. And while in the local yesterday, I went ahead and bought pictures frames. I love the kiddo's solo picture and I plan to customized her picture frame just like what I saw on the Internet--birthday picture frame ideas. I still need some materials and when I'm finished, I'm sure the kiddo will be so thrilled! Can't wait.

Tricky question right? But if you ask me, I would still stick to the classics. Growing up from a family tree of musicians. I learned to appreciate the quality and sound of the oldies and classics. would really like a Fender Jass Bass, P. Bass series. Original, of course. And that doesn't end there. Since I'm a bassist, it doesn't mean I like bass guitars only. My ultimate guitar would be the Gibson traditional. I'm telling you, this baby really kicks butt. Two of friends invest money to get a Gibson series and now they have two and doesn't want to let it go because for them, it's all worth it.

Christmas gift

MIL and BIL are here! They arrived last week and now Christmas is fast approaching and I still don't have anything for them. Then I passed by the mall the other day and got an idea. I was thinking of getting BIL some funny shirts or maybe a planner for a change. Anyway, the big problem now is what to get for MIL. It seems that she can buy anything already but I know there's still something that she needs. Maybe I'll get her a watch instead if I ran out of time. Christmas is just a few days and panic button is ON.

5S

I was decided to shift to 5strings years ago until I took a break from the band. Now that I've started to play again, I'm thinking of shifting again. But I need a kick-ass gear. Someone suggested a Warwick 5-string bass guitar but I'm still not sure because I haven't experienced one yet. I need to hear the tone and the feel should be right. But by the looks of it, it's a real kick-ass gear! Let's see if I can get next year.

Sophia the First

My day is not complete without opening Yahoo! page on my screen and today I found out that Disney will launch a new princess--Sophia the First. The movie will be out fall of 2012 and followed by the TV series. The new movie aims audience with 2-7 age group. I know for sure my little kiddo will love this movie! Can't wait for next year.

Better next year

I had to admit it's been a tough year for us this year. We moved three times and shifted school for the kiddo three times too. Not the mention the financial struggle we had to put through and luckily we're still surviving. But of course, I don't want to be 'surviving' status all the time, so next year I plan to get a nice small house near my parents and get insurance. In 2012, it's gonna be different and I know it's for the better.

Hooked

The kiddo is hooked up with watching TV all the time. Sometimes I asked her to do something else, like color or play with her dolls. She refuses sometimes and goes back to watching again. I tried to reason her out by being bossy but I don't want to be rude to her. So I had an idea that will shift her attention--Beads. I recently bought a starter pack the other day and now she's hooked with it. I also bought glue and art paper, and now she's having fun with it. Good thing, I got her attention off the tube or else, it'll be a visit to the eye doctor. Buti nalng...

FALLEN and BLUE BLOOD

Can you believe I finished two books in a week? Yup! Just finished the second one last night and I'm sad why I did not read it before but I guess I'm thankful I had the time lately. Well honestly, our cable TV is out that's why hahaha. Anyway, both books are really a page turner. I'm looking forward on purchasing the next chapter of the series. Future

I'm thinking of three options I will do next year: stay at my current work, work abroad or put up a business here. Option 2 is pretty risky since I'll go far away and find a better work. If I get lucky, I'll land in a high paying job but sacrifice being away from my family. My last option would put up a business here. It's a good idea if I have the funds and resources. I heard med cart dealers are booming next year and if I could more resources, I'd probably go for it. But wherever I go and whatever I do, I believe I have a better future year ahead.

New YOU

My sister always gets a total make-over every New Year. She says everybody should have one because New Year means New YOU. And when I say total make-over, I mean she did curl her hair and got a new wardrobe and I'm thinking the same this coming New Year. I've have decided to do it every since I recovered from my gallbladder operation last April. I thought, Life is short, who's stopping me? GO FOR IT. So I had my hair done, got highlights and wore make-up. Wow! Not only I looked younger (ehem), it even boast my confidence. So this coming New Year, I'm thinking of keeping my highlights, curls and luxurious eye lashes! So what do you think? I found this great salon that does eyelashes and sell eyelash growth products. My sister and I will check it out next week and maybe have an appointment next month.

Curl it

After my gallbladder surgery last April, I said to myself that whatever I like for myself, I'd go for it and no questions asked. That's why I had my hair done (rebond) plus purple highlights. Now my highlights are fading but it's okay because it looks reddish hahaha and now I'm thinking of curls. If my sister will change her hairstyle next year, I'll probably go for curls. But for now, I'm experiments those curls using herstyler curler. And I'm already decided what hairstyle I would get at my sister's wedding next year, you guessed it-- CURLS.

Shoes!

I can't think of a person who's not crazy about shoes. Who doesn't right? Especially us ladies, we can't have enough shoes! Now that's a fact. My next shoe stop now is a red doll shoes. I kinda miss my old pair and now it's time to get a new one. Doll shoes does not last a year for me especially when I get caught during the rainy season. I might check shoes on robeez shoes and I'm hoping find a pair that will last more than a year.

Happy Sleeping

Kiddo is growing up really fast. I know because three of us can't on a king size bed already haha. The kiddo's been sleeping before us right after she was born and we just can't let her sleep on other bed. But now that she's big, we might get her those memory foam mattress and maybe buy her own bed. I know it'll take time of her to adjust but as long as she sleeps soundly every night, it'll make me and my husband happy.

Anything goes...

As the days comes closer to the year-end of 2011, I'm starting to think--what happen to me this year? I had so many plans and goals ahead of me and it seems none of them came true. Sad but true. This coming 2012--I want change. I plan to venture on a small business of my own or maybe go abroad and pursue a different career path. Anything goes, from Prosthodontist Jobs, to IT administrator, and even waitress.. anything! I just want to be far away from here... let's see.

vampire mania

I was so thrilled to see an article on Yahoo! about the up coming Breaking Dawn movie. Wow! Pictures on the site are amazing! It made me want to watch the movie now! Easy girl. I don't know why, but why is it vampires are so damn attractive? Or is it just the movies hahaha. I finished True Blood Season 4 recently and Season 5's not gonna out till next year. Sooo long! I know what I need. I need to pull myself out of facebook and watch a different movie, definitely not a vampire story-- to put mind out of this vampire mania.

Hands of hope

Sunshine at last! But I cannot celebrate yet because I just found out that another storm is heading this way. QUIEL. And according to the news, it's getting stronger and ETA would be this weekend. I hope God would spread his ways in the sky and wipe the storm away.... I hope.

BB

Okay now my mommy's using a Blackberry too! She just bought one today and she's so thrilled to have her BB registered. I'm so jealous because I've been dreaming to have one since last year but I just don't have the budget for that. Sad. Anyway, my mom gave me her Nokia C3 to replace my old phone. I mentioned old phone because I don't even know the model anymore. I also mentioned, that I have the option to sell so I could buy my BB. But nokia phones depreciates a lot lately, so selling the C3 is still not enough for the BB. Her other phone is also for sale. Motorolla V8. I know it comes with an extra motorola phone batteries. Maybe she wants to sell both so I'll have the fund for the BB. Anyway, there's still always Christmas hehehe.

PEDRING

It's just so scary to look outside! The typhoon's been here in the country for a couple of hours and yet so much damaged has been done. I hope everybody I know will be okay after the storm. Keep safe to all.

More than enough

The last two weeks for us has been a challenge. Kiddo and I were down sick with fever and severe headaches. Good thing we went to the doctor and knew we had dengue. We spend 6 days at St. Lukes Medical Center. I was completely worried for the kiddo but good thing she responded well and now we're out of the hospital. Thank God. Now she's eating well and more active than ever. And as for me, I think I want to spend a day at the spa or maybe attend a yoga session and get a sunshineyoga.com yoga mat... or a nice massage maybe? I really need a stress reliever nowadays. But knowing that the kiddo is more than enough.

Oh my gadget!

Oh my! It seems everybody's using iphone complete with iphone case nowadays. Some choose the new Samsung smartphones and some HTC but I prefer blackberry. My sister abroad suggested us to use one and my other sister tested a unit and she said, it was great. So my mom and dad got one each and now enjoying and BBM-ing each other. I really want one but I still don't have the budget for it. Maybe I'll wait for Christmas to come or my birthday probably? Let's see. Good thing, my mom gave me her Nokia C3. Now I look a little savy hahaha.

Back to reality

It's our last day here at the hospital and the kiddo just can't wait to get out. I've been out of the office for 5 days already, so I'm also eager to go out and get back to work. I would be needing to wake up early tomorrow to pack our things and process the discharge papers that we need. I think I really need some document scanning tomorrow or maybe have or medical records photo copied for future reference. I hope I can get everything done before lunch time. Let's see. It's back to reality again....

Needs retouch

Emergency! I need to retouch because my highlights turn pink and not red violet anymore. I think it's normal right? or not? Anyway, I'm also not sure if it's healthy for my hair to have it colored again so I'm giving it 2 months rest before I have it colored again.

WET Motorworks!

Here's why the hubby's so busy these past few weeks. WET motorworks will open tomorrow! I hope me and kiddo can join. I pray our fever will subside later tonight.

What your dream?

We all have our dreams and these dreams are ones who makes us stronger everyday. I for one, been dreaming of Culinary school and putting up my own restaurant and at the same time, playing music with the band. Why not right? I just need, money to enroll on Culinary school then get used restaurant equipment for sale, while I play with the band and attend to my family's need. I know it's a big dream but I'm still hopeful. How about you, what's your dream?

It's our High School Grand reunion later tonight and so I'm excited. I just got home from work. Now I need to sleep for a couple of hours and it's a early wake up call at 1pm. Because we have a rehearsal at 2pm this afternoon at Bar64. Excited to play!

Memories

Sometimes I miss our old house where we all grew up. I miss the long driveway and the "play" area. I miss +Mamang's sampaguita that would bloom during early morning. But what I really missed the most was the garden. I don't have a green thumb but at least I tried. I remember, I would clean the whole place, like sweep fallen leaves and compile them in the composter. Then what I enjoy the most was watering the plants hahaha. I tried to keep the garden clean and green for as long as I can. But sad to say, I saw that garden fall. All dried up and brown. Childhood memories sometimes hunt me every now and then. Is this a sign that I'm growing old? Well, I'm glad I have those memories.

Dreaming of LCD

We love to watch movies here at home but when the neighbors turn on their samsung home theatre system, it's all hell loose in the neighborhood because we can also hear it all the way from our house. That's why me and hubby are day dreaming if we can get one those near LCDs. I'm planning to get one next year after all the Christmas buzz. We'll never know, we might one in the raffle this Christmas? Wow, I hope so.

Zoe's Christening

I remembered we were all excited to attend to Zoe's Christening last last month. Because it's been awhile since me and my cousins seen each other. Good thing, there are gatherings like this, that we get to meet at least once a year. And what I do liked was our gift to the little girl. Actually we got the item on the Internet because they sell good christening gifts for girls/boys. And we were glad my cousin liked it. So next family gathering... maybe first birthday next year. We'll see.

Missing Mom

It's been days since my mom went to Canada and I miss her already. I know she's enjoying every moment of her trip and she really deserve it. She leaves me messages every now and then when she has time. She told me, she got me a nice jacket for my everyday use at work. I'm excited to see it. I hope it's one of those coogi wear I saw on the Internet. Yeah, I'm more of a boyish-style rather than the girl-next-door-thing. Anyway, I heard my mom did some cherry-picking and saw raining ice. I'm beginning to adore Canada. Someday we will go there...

Canada!

My mom posted some pictures on FB from their Canada vacation and wow! the view is breath taking. It make me want to go to Canada more. It's like the perfect place to have a family, grow old and retire. My mom stayed at my uncle's place and wow (again) their is awesome. They have a nice garage, cozy living room and a kick ass outdoor fireplaces. Me and the hubby are well decided to go to Canada. If God permits us. Time will tell.

Rain rain go away

Diet Diet Diet... these are words that keeps on repeating in my mind lately. I already careful on what I eat because of my gallbladder. And I'm eating more oatmeal nowadays. I will resume my jogging routine hopefully next week, when the rain stops lingering. For the meantime, I'm thinking of getting Diet pills that work fast just to help me trim down double time. Month of August is quite busy for me and I really need to look good haha. But I guess, jogging and exercise is the only answer I'll get. So from now on I'll be singing... Rain Rain Go away, come again another day.. Little Lizzie wants to jog!

Our car: SOLD

We just sold our car this morning. I was hesitant at first but I changed my mind and said yes when the hubby discussed all the disadvantages we might encounter in the future. Believe me, I like that car but we just don't have enough funds to have it repaired. Now we are using my dad's van for the meantime. But the hubby and I were discussing, that if get the chance to save up and have enough money, we'll surely buy a decent car with a kick ass sound set-up. Okay minus the sound set-up haha. It's the important thing that matter when it comes to cars so I know insurance from Wholesaleinsurance.net is a must. Don't worry. The hubby is charge with that because I'm in charge what car to get haha!

True Blood Season 4

I just finished watching True Blood Season 4 Episode 1 and men! the story keeps on getting better and better. There a lot of new characters plus witches will finally come out. I can't wait for the next episode. One week waiting hurts big time!

Party!

Time for a new PC

I can't deny that fact that after almost three years, this laptop slowly giving up on us. It's still running but it's not as good as before when it was still new. I suggest to the hubby that we get a new one. I still get to keep my old laptop and he gets a new one, like gateway desktops or anything that suits our budget. I heard from the a friend that desktop PCs are cheaper than laptops. Plus they upgrades are possible unlike with laptops. If we get extra budget, I know the hubby will get one for sure.

Classic

I'm not very particular when it comes to sun glasses. I have one but it's locally made here and it was given to me from my last Birthday. I said, I'm not particular when it comes to sun glasses just because frankly, I can't tell which one is real and fake. And with all the fake ones sold everywhere, it's really hard to tell especially when buying one online. When I tried to check some from the local mall, Ray Bans shades caught my attention. They are slim, slick and never go out of style. One characteristic about Ray Bans that I really love is like it's ready to rock n' roll when I see one haha! So I'll be given a chance to pick a branded sun glasses, I'll definitely get a Ray Ban Classic.

Alternative

Almost everything now has an alternative to make our lives healthier and easier. Example is the e cig or electronic cigars. A lot of people wants to quit smoking but never got the will to start because it became a habit to them. But on my case, I quit smoking with a snap of a finger and not everybody can do that. But thanks to electric cigars, most people, like the people at work are now enjoying the benefits of E Cig without the harmful effects of a real cigar.

Gifts for dad

It's only days before Father's day and I still don't have any idea what to give to the hubby. The ones that he wanted are for his motorcycle and unfortunately, I don't have any idea what those are hahaha. Then I found one on the Internet--personalized gifts for boys. The site has a lot of great ideas to give away and I already picked two. And since Father's day is in a week's time, I still have plenty of time to make up my mind. I'm excited.

Thinking about gadgets

I remembered I have a portable hard drive from a friend and that I need to get it right away because I plan to have the lappy re-installed so the OS will run as fast. But first thing to do is to copy the files off to another drive for back-up. I check ordinateurs portables, an online store and see what are the prices now on the latest gadgets. I'm surprised to see other items are still expensive. I wish I have a MAC that's reliable and will last twice (maybe more) than the ordinary laptops do. If I can save, maybe I can get one for my next birthday.

Busy week

We are moving again and it's a nicer place. Two storey, two bedrooms with fence and a parking space for the car. Way better than our current one. I still need to visit the place because I need to personally check for nearby church, school and hospital. Basic community facilities every one needs. But I have a good feedback that the hospitals there have complete medical equipment, so it's a good sign right. Anyway, more planning ahead. I know it's gonna be busy week.

We really had a fun fun day yesterday! We watched KUNG FU PANDA 2 with the kids and had a pig-out birthday dinner with the whole family. We should have stayed longer for coffee but the kids were already tired. Hope mom and my sister will upload the pictures soon!

Benefits

I plan to file loan from our company because I really need some money to pay for the move and for the kid's tuition fee. Good thing our company has these benefits that we can really use, one is the medicard. I also plan to avail my loan from social security services because I'm thinking of opening an account for the kiddo and put everything there. Another benefit our government offers is the social security disability benefits so I encourage everybody to apply for security services especially our househelp.

What's happening?

I saw on Facebook than an earthquake was felt last night. Well, I was up all night because I was at work and I did not feel anything. Anyway, it was confirmed that an earthquake did happen last night but it's somewhere in the province. Then I read in the news volcanos are about to erupt. I wonder what's happening in the world today......

Judgement day

May 21, 2011 --- called the judgement day by a group of people in the US, who they say can predict the end of the world. Everybody was alarmed. Even I had second thoughts in my mind, that what if it was the end, what would we do? It's now May 22 and we're still alive. I guess no one can really predict the end of the world. Only GOD knows. Let's just pray for the safety of everybody.

Almost over

Summer is almost over and we still haven't gone to our family beach. The little kiddo is already complaining and I can't do anything because the budget that was suppose to be for the family beach went all to her dentist. Two jackets and two root canals costs us the whole family beach trip. Yes it's that expensive. Anyway, I haven't loss any weight yet so personally, I'm ready to show off my bathing suit. I'll be starting my exercise next month with OxyElite Pro and hopefully I'll cut down the fat twice as fast and hit the beach even if it's not summer time.

My sister is staying in New York for a couple of weeks and I plan to ask her to buy some bass string for me. I always wanted to have the black coated one but I forgot the brand. I recently search online and found the DR Neon HiDef Bass strings and according to my bass expert friend, this string is the one!

Life without

Life without a gallbladder. I haven't seriously thought of it that way. On my first few weeks, I was completely cautious. Ate no rice, just low fat, non fat and oatmeals all the way. But last week, I ate Crispy KangKong. It's a local leafy vegetable here, coated and fried to reach that crispy texture. Something more like, crispy Spinach. Anyway, I thought it was okay until I felt chest pains and more at the back of my head 2-3 hours after. I was caught unaware. I immediately went to the clinic and good thing my BP was normal. Ever since that happen, I knew the consequences of being abusive and careless to my body. I don't want that to happen again. I'm currently checking on supplements online, like colonetix that will help me clean up wastes inside. This is a long battle I know, but I'm sure ready for any life's challenges that I will encounter along the way.

Wardrobe

We are experiencing couple of rains nowadays, that means summer is about to end and rainy days are soon to come. Good thing I have different attire for both seasons here in the country. Rainy season calls for slick fitted jeans, nice top and boots, just like the one's they sell in equestrian apparel. And speaking of boots, I have a 3 pairs and one of those is the rain boots. At first I had doubts on buying and wearing it after because I was hesitant and thought people might find it funny. But after a few try-outs... once it rains, automatic it's those rains boots on my feet. We only have two seasons here in the country and my closet is full already. I wonder how those people living in four seasons, I wonder how their closets are.

Teflon

I plan to buy medium size pans for our kitchen because it's always a hassle to cook on big pans when my recipe is for only two persons. I plan to get one medium size teflon pan and a portable grill. I know it's a little bit pricey than the ordinary one but I'm sure the food will not stick on it. Then I found this teflon hose on the web. I haven't heard of anything like. I guess they use the teflon technology on other household equipments too. It's actually quite amazing really.

Workplace

Our facilities at work are resilient when it comes to taking care of office equipments. Coffee and water dispensers are properly placed neatly in the corner where they cannot cause a mess in the floor area. The exit signs are well lightly so we can easily see it in case of emergency. What I really don't like was the entrance and exit to our account/workplace. They made a long passage for us to walk through and not the short cut route. We are still complaining about the passage because it'll really help us cut time on our breaks and less walking effort.

Bahala na.

The kiddo finally decided to visit the dentist. So we went to a pedia-dentist near our home last Monday and the dentist advise us to get the jacket for preventive reasons and we still need two more root canals for ruin molars. It's 2k per tooth and there's four of them tsk tsk tsk. Now I'm worried what I will pay for the tuition fee month. Bahala na.

AC or LCD?

Hubby and I had this conversation on what to buy next. He suggested AC for the house because it's scorching hot especially at night. I checked for possible AC buys on the Internet and the split-type inverter costs a lot. They it's 50% energy saving but I don't we can even afford to get one. So I suggested a flat screen or that LCD tv with bluray home theatre system. But hubby said it's too much for our little apartment. Or maybe just the LCD tv? We're still talking about it so let's see.

Bin Laden Dead

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. forces finally found al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden not in a mountain cave on Afghanistan's border, but with his youngest wife in a million-dollar compound in a summer resort just over an hour's drive from Pakistan's capital, U.S. officials said.

A small U.S. team conducted a night-time helicopter raid on the compound early on Monday. After 40 minutes of fighting, bin Laden and an adult son, one unidentified woman and two men were dead, the officials said.

U.S. forces were led to the fortress-like three-story building after more than four years tracking one of bin Laden's most trusted couriers, whom U.S. officials said was identified by men captured after the September 11, 2001 attacks.

"Detainees also identified this man as one of the few al Qaeda couriers trusted by bin Laden. They indicated he might be living with or protected by bin Laden," a senior administration official said in a briefing for reporters.

Bin Laden was finally found -- more than 9-1/2 years after the 2001 attacks on the United States -- after authorities discovered in August 2010 that the courier lived with his brother and their families in an unusual and extremely high-security building, officials said.

They said the courier and his brother were among those killed in the raid.
