Dream

I had this dream that I was going to this band practice with my former band mates. In my dream, I was doing that familiar routine--preparing my gear, checking what to wear, thinking on what to talk about like the Code 412 cabinet amp that I was checking online, suggesting what to eat afterwards....all that good stuff. I woke up having that familiar excitement and adrenaline that I miss this past year. Yup! It's been more than a year since I held a guitar and played an instrument and miss it. Literally, I miss playing. I know I wanna to go back at least to that hobby because I wanna team up with my eldest daughter whose slowly molding into a potential singer someday. I don't when exactly when but definitely not in a few months. But I will. We will. So stay tuned.

Prodigy

Me and the little kiddo is hooked with watching youtube videos lately. We've been watching videos from cute and funny babies to animals and some amazing stuff. You'd be surprise what people to do to get on their free time and even have the time to record and upload it online. Anyway, it's been pretty entertaining I must say. What amazes me even more is that there are a lot, I'd say A LOT of talented musicians out there, and there are pretty young too! Makes you wanna think that your kid could be the next child prodigy right?. Oh well if that happened to us, we would be like so thrilled. And as a parent, I would definitely support her/him by providing music instrument--from tuning hammer to piano/guitar/violin and exposure to extensive lessons. As a musician myself, it'll be pretty exciting. For now, we'll be watching youtube videos the little kiddo and hopefully baby lj would be a musician like her mom and ate.

Music

I lot has changed in the music industry. I miss the golden days of the 90s wherein alternative and rock bands reign MTV and the radio. I remembered leaving the television on on MTV channel and watch for hours. During summer vacation I would play in the guitar every song on the songs hits. I would also save my allowance to buy that much awaited cassette tape I was eying for several weeks. Years had passed, some artists moved-on with family their family, some stayed in the music industry and others started a new career as procedures etc. I know a lot of musicians wanted to produce their own music. That's why I became curious on how they do it. I know for a  fact that music engineers use the uad satellite because of its many inputs and superb output. But when I dug deeper and made researched more on the subject, I came to realize that it is not my thing haha. It's pretty much complicated for me, so I'll probably stick with playing and making music. I guess, I'm one of those artist who wanted to stay in the music industry performing. Peace out.

Abroad

The hubby finally passed all the requirements for his new job offer abroad and now we're waiting. We haven'y prepared any of his stuff yet and we'll probably do that once we get all the details and confirmation flight. I also plan to do a major clean-up of our room when he leaves. I haven't decided though on what to do with this sofa bed. The kiddo said, it's not that comfortable so I'm still thinking if we're gonna replace it with Foam Factory cushions or not. Kiddo's toy will have to go somewhere and a new cabinet for her clothes is also a must. But for now, we're enjoying our time together as a family and hopefully me and kiddo can visit hubby abroad.

Good question

Funny sometimes I wonder how FB took all our time. We cannot resist not checking the news feed. It's like it's part of our lives. Sometimes I wanted to resist the temptation and do something useful online, like read "real" news, research and blog hop (which I haven't done for quite some time). I wanted to expand my knowledge like check new gears, like traktor kontrol s4, or get more ideas on my next cupcake project. The real question here is.... Is the world ready to let go of the social network? That's a good question!

November means it's time to make the Christmas list. I know it's early but in my case, I want to be ahead of time. I don't want to be in the middle of the Christmas rush shopping just like before. So I'd make sure everything is setup early. I also do my research online and finding more ways and ideas for Christmas gifts. There's one I found about customizing coins on challenge coin from coinsforanything.com. I think it's a very very cool souvenir especially on company Christmas parties, token of appreciation awards and souvenirs. I'm sure it'll kick ass on every celebration.

Amp

We've been piling up songs from our old playlist, checking chords and jamming our hearts out. We're trying to get as much songs so we can make it at least 3 sets for the upcoming gig this December. We've been doing our jam sessions at home and it's good because we can get to play without rental, plus the amps are fired up and well. Speaking of amps, we haven't got any back-up guitar amp yet. I'm checking the blackstar ht-5r online and I wanted to try it out first before we make any purchases. So the question now is... Is it available in our country?
