School stuff

I just got home and I still have online tasks to finish. But I figured I need to go to sleep now because I need to help the kiddo with her homework. They also have this mother earth parade on Tuesday, so I filed a vacation leave earlier in the office because I know nobody will accompany her tsk tsk! How I wish I could manage my own time because I'm always in a hurry. Maybe I need a miracle.

Birthday at school

It's crazy here at home every morning because everybody's preparing to go to work and the little angel and I would rush for school. One morning while I was dressing her up, she asked me if she can have her next birthday at school. I've thought about that idea before and I was surprised to hear it directly from her. School is definitely growing on her and she loved it. And for the party? I'm thinking of getting personalized children's plates for them to eat on, toddler backpacks
give aways for boys and I might get the ezy roller for girl friends.

Micheal Jackson dies at 50

LOS ANGELES – Michael Jackson, the sensationally gifted child star who rose to become the "King of Pop" and the biggest celebrity in the world only to fall from his throne in a freakish series of scandals, died Thursday. He was 50.

Jackson died at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. Ed Winter, the assistant chief coroner for Los Angeles County, confirmed his office had been notified of the death and would handle the investigation.

The circumstances of Jackson's death were not immediately clear. Jackson was not breathing when Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to a call at his Los Angeles home about 12:30 p.m., Capt. Steve Ruda told the Los Angeles Times. The paramedics performed CPR and took him to the hospital, Ruda told the newspaper.

Jackson's death brought a tragic end to a long, bizarre, sometimes farcical decline from his peak in the 1980s, when he was popular music's premier all-around performer, a uniter of black and white music who shattered the race barrier on MTV, dominated the charts and dazzled even more on stage.

His 1982 album "Thriller" — which included the blockbuster hits "Beat It," "Billie Jean" and "Thriller" — is the best-selling album of all time, with an estimated 50 million copies sold worldwide.

The public first knew him in the late 1960s, when as a boy he was the precocious, spinning lead singer of the Jackson 5, the music group he formed with his four older brothers. Among their No. 1 hits were "I Want You Back," "ABC," and "I'll Be There."

He was perhaps the most exciting performer of his generation, known for his feverish, crotch-grabbing dance moves and his high-pitched voice punctuated with squeals and titters. His single sequined glove, tight, military-style jacket and aviator sunglasses were trademarks second only to his ever-changing, surgically altered appearance.

"For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don't have the words," said Quincy Jones, who produced "Thriller." "He was the consummate entertainer and his contributions and legacy will be felt upon the world forever. I've lost my little brother today, and part of my soul has gone with him." More HERE

Online shopping

I can't get enough of online shopping! From the first time I bought my brown boots with a fur boots, I can't stop. I recently purchased another pair from this online women's shoes store. The seller is very reliable and transactions are flawless. I always check her site for newer models but I can't wait for the pair to arrive. I'm already counting the days and the suspense is just killing me. It's my first time to own a black wedge and I think it will really go well with my skirt. Online shopping rocks!

New shade

I know I'm busy with work, home chores, family responsibility and my band but I never forget to take car of myself. I make sure to visit the salon at least every two weeks. And last week, I had my nails done with foot spa. I bought this light shimmery orange shade from "The Face Shop" and I'm loving it. Check it out!

Diet routine

When we visited our parents house last weekend, I got good comments from my other sister. She said, I looked thinner now. Maybe my diet routine is finally working. No rice policy for me, treadmill at least twice or four time a week and take diet pill. I can easily adjust to this strict diet so I had no problems. I could always eat out during the weekends, but I made sure to follow my diet routine on weekdays. Besides, I'm always busy on weekdays the I forget to eat out. Hope I could continue this until the outing trip this coming July.

Health conscious

We are taking extra precautions nowadays because of the flu that's spreading in some areas here in the country. When I was waiting at my daughter's school last week, they gave several important reminders on what to do to prevent these virus. It was stressed in the announcement to always wash your hands, cover your mouth when someone is couching, and to people who just came in from a country, they require them to stay at home and observe their condition for 10 days. Virus outrage can be really scary, just like major decease like cancer and mesothelioma. Everybody should be health conscious.

Getting ready

My sister called in a few minutes ago and she told me that they will still continue the Bazaar stall this coming December. We talked about where to get the goods that we'll be needing for the event and of course, the ideas and quality of the items. I suggested to sell items from baby memory books to kids backpacks to laundry bag for moms. So we are targeting all ages which can be good to the business. If this goes well, I might leave my 9-hour corporate slave work and pursue the business.

Birthday gift

My best friend's birthday is coming up and I'm looking and scouting for gifts ideas on the Internet. I need all the ideas I could get because this year, I wanted something new and different. Like extra ordinary or something like she's never going to forget in the next few years. We've been friends since our College days and from there, we've been inseparable. We shared our ups and down moments together and we learned a lot from our past mistakes. I'm glad to have her as a friend that's why I wanted this birthday to be special. I was thinking on giving her Birthday Flowers just to kick things off. I think Lori's Hearts & Flowers has the prettiest flowers I could see but Oshawa Flower Delivery will also be great because they deliver them right in your doorstep. I might get her a dress that I saw somewhere in mall nearby. Oh I'm so excited.

DOH: Avoid wearing black, dark blue clothes to avoid dengue

I guess I have to hold my black shirt collection until the end of the month.

MANILA, Philippines - Mosquitoes apparently have color preferences. With “dengue season" now here, health officials advised the public Tuesday to refrain from wearing black or dark blue clothes to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes carrying the dengue virus.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said mosquitoes are attracted to dark blue and black, and advised students wearing uniforms with those shades to be extra careful.

“That’s why we must make sure we search and destroy their breeding places," Duque said in an interview on dzXL radio.

Amid the public alarm about A(H1N1), which hasn't killed anyone in the Philippines yet, Duque has been reminding the public that the annual season of the notorious killer disease dengue has begun.

Duque reiterated his advice for the public to make an effort ito keep their surroundings dry and clean, to prevent dengue-spreading mosquitoes from breeding.

He also said people suffering from fever or body pains should go to a hospital for a checkup right away.

“Medical emergency ang dengue, nakamamatay ito. Sa isang kagat lang baka ka matepok [Dengue is a medical emergency and is potentially deadly. You could die from one mosquito bite]," he said. - GMANews.TV

Word FaQ :: The characteristics of a good listener

The characteristics of a good listener

Think back to a time when you were heavily influenced by someone. Chances are, you appreciated the fact that that person was a very good listener, as well as a speaker. Whether instinctively or through practice, that person who influenced you was skillful with empathy.

Doctor Marisue Pickering at the University of Maine identifies four main characteristics of good listeners:

1. A desire to be other-directed, rather than to project one’s own feelings and ideas.
2. A desire to be non-defensive, rather than to protect the self. When you are protecting yourself, it is difficult to focus on anyone else.
3. A desire to imagine the roles, perspectives, or experiences of the other, rather than assuming they are the same as one’s own.
4. A desire to listen as a receiver, not as a critic, and a desire to understand the other person rather than to achieve either agreement from or change in that person.

These characteristics can be learned, practiced, and mastered. Our society places much more attention on the spoken side of the communication equation, but if you think about who influences you, are they good talkers or good listeners?

As we come to understand ourselves and our relationships with others better, we rediscover that "communication is not just saying words; it is creating true understanding." Active listening is an important skill in that process.

Add me in Twitter and Plurk

I'm twittering again and now I can't stop. I signed up on Twitter months ago and never updated my account ever since. And then my sister insisted that I join Plurk. I don't know why but I did. So now I'm hooked up with both Twitter and Plurk! They are basically the same, updating current status and sending out information like birth announcements, but the only difference is that the Plurk has a Timeline where you can view as well as your friend's time line all at the same window. I already have the Plurk widget and thanks to Amy, I'm going to out twitter widget soon!mo

Gift ideas

Me and the super friends were suppose to go out last Friday but due to unavoidable unfortunate events, I was not able to join them. A super friend were suppose to treat us because it's her birthday. Event ideas

I love it when someone asks me how's the little angel's birthday party and how I planned it. I like small talks on birthday planning or event organizing. It's the pressure of meeting deadlines and the thrill of seeing the fruits of your labor on the day of the event. Now I'm scouting for new ideas, especially give aways and I come up with mom agenda planner, monogrammed key fobs, monogrammed koozies. I hope my sister will approved on what I found online.

Summer is not over

Summer is almost over but not for us. Planning is now on-going for the next x-L2S MOC adventure and we plan to go to Caramoan Island, somewhere is Bicol (I think). We plan to go this coming July, because that's the club anniversary. I'm looking forward to this trip because every year, we gather, plan and go to a trip despite our busy schedules. And to think we are now employed to different companies, we still managed to meet every year. And speaking of going on a trip, I need to loose some weight so I'll look good in the photos. So I really need to get on the treadmills asap.

Busy me

I'm soo busy these past few weeks. One reason to be busy is that our house help took a two-week vacation. So we moved here at my SIL's house for the meantime until she comes back. Second is the up coming battle of the bands this early June. Third, practice time with MMA is still consistent every week. Fourth, I have to work double time because little angel's school time is fast approaching. It's her first time to go to school that's why I need to prepare financially -- tuition fee, baon, uniform and textbooks. And lastly, I make sure I find some quality time with the little kiddo.

thoughts in the wee hours

+ 12:50 AM +

I embraced the thought that the little kiddo is growing up -- fast. Despite my super busy schedule at work, personal life and music, I'm still trying very hard to keep up with her. I want to lead her to the right direction in life and provide as much as I can. I pray for guidance especially during down times. But I know I can do it.

Chicken a a carte

My friend emailed my this link and immediately watched it last night. I was moved by the story because this is true.

Figure conscious

I was browsing my external hard drive the other day and I found a couple of pictures from some years ago with my friends from the previous company. I had to admit that we really had blast during those times. From the gimick like our never ending drinking sessions, jamming and the battle of the bands events. It's really nice to have true friends like them. But one thing I noticed was my figure - I was so thin that time. That's makes me think again on getting the best diet pills out there to bring that figure back.

Meet up

One of these day, I'll be meeting up with my close friend and ex-officemate in a resto in a local mall. It's been awhile since we saw each other and we are both excited about the meet up. I'm so ready to spend some time with a friend, because I surely need the time off from all the pressure and work I've been going through for the past weeks. Well, the reason for our meet up is that she told me about this appetite suppressants that she's been taking and it really worked for her. She was having thoughts that it might work for me too. That's sweet of her. Now I'm really excited.

Supplements

We visited the grocery market yesterday with the little angel and the FIL. I really like this routine because we get to shop the things we need in the house, while having fun. I got the usually stuff like laundry soap, detergents, dish washing soap, couple of cans of corned beef, fresh milk, cereals, nuggets, juice and many more. FIL mentioned that he plans to get a couple of supplements including Colonix. I haven't heard of the brand, but I will surely check on it later on.

Bora anyone?

My sister just got back from Boracay and but the looks of the pictures and the color of her skin, I admit that they really enjoyed their stayed there. Which reminds me that we should be planning our beach getaway soon. I can't believe summer is almost over and we haven't hit the beach yet. My dad is already inviting us to Boracay as well. Good thing my sister knows a beach vacation rentals there that we could avail. But I still need to check my schedule and attend to few things first. By then, maybe we could go to Bora too.

On cats and dogs

My best friend just can't stop bragging about her newly acquired puppy. I appreciate animals including cats and dogs but never really liked to pet them and I don't know why. Good thing, my best friend's birthday is coming up and this gave me a birthday gift idea. I saw this pet store with animal supplies for cats, dogs and even horse supplies too. I would just buy a nice accessories for her puppy and I'm sure she's going to like it.

question of the week

Been grabbing tags all over my blogmate's site because I don't have lots of ideas now. My mind is pre-occupied with my visit to the salon after this. So here goes...

Question of the week:
1. What do you want to do with a little extra cash?
~ I still have so many to things to accomplish and the includes money. We are still saving for the little angel's school tuition fee this coming June. Then we have to renovate our bedroom floor too. So with little extra cash at hand? I'll probably save it.

2. What else do you want this week? Feel free to share it all.
~ It's going to be a hell of a week again for me this week. My FIL is asking me to look for headlights for car. But all I got was Jeep Headlights, Mazda Headlights, Toyota Headlights. So I still need to research more on that.
~ I'll be going to the salon today after this. So it will be a new look for me this week. I think I mentioned this already.
~ Need to bring the digicam to the service center. Yup! My cam's busted when my sister brought it to Bora last week. Thinking of getting another cam too.
~ MMA practice practice on Thursday. I still feel sad because our practice is only once a week for this month.
~ Still deciding on where we could go - swimming that is. But I don't it'll happen anytime soon.
~ Happy! Yes, I'm happy for our youngest sister. She just graduated and now leaving for Dubai tomorrow for a one month vacation with my two sisters there.
~ Manicure and pedicure alert!

I hope that covers all and hopefully I could accomplish most of them this week.

Catching up

There's a seven-day gap before the previous post and the one before this entry. Yes, I've been totally ignoring my sites last week. My ideas went away plus I've been busy with lots of things too. Then little angel's workshop and school familiarization school starts today (later). It's a one week activity and I hope she'll like it there because she's going to school there in June. Anyway, I have no problems with our house help (Thank God), except she's going back to the province on May 15, but that can be arranged. It least we know ahead of time. I'm just concern with my new schedule in May. I really hate the mid shift plus Thurs/Fri RDs. This means less time for band practice plus I'm not home during the weekends. So if there's a family activity during the weekends, I have to file a leave. I hope this will only be for the month of MAY.

Anyway, we have a visitor this coming weekend. My MIL's brother and his wife will be staying with us for four days. The FIL already bought an A/C for the guest room. Then I have to move some stuff out of there too tsk tsk. Barangay fiesta is also coming so that means more relatives and visitors this coming weekend. Oh no! It's going to be pretty crowded here in the house.

Feeling frustrated: Why? I need a beach vacation!

Treat for the lappy

April is almost over and in two months time, it's already June - time for school and season of weddings. But it reminded me of something else - my laptop. I purchased this gadget June of last year and who would think a year already passed. I don't want to replace this yet because it's still good so what I'm thinking is I could buy memory as upgrades. I know this laptop deserves the memory because it really help me a lot.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to my sister who graduated last Saturday. My mom and dad can surely enjoy their retirement because all of us now had finished college. I know it's every parents' dream to see their children finish their studies and it did came true for my parents last Saturday. We were teasing our dad to wear a tuxedo since it's the last graduation he'll attend. And the next one will be the graduation of his grandaughters.

Marry Me Amy - official site

We had band practice last Tuesday and we are so excited to record our demo. We have lots of options, but we are also checking our budget hahaha. But first we had to put up an official Marry Me Amy site and now it's up! I love the banner! Thanks Aimz! I love the photo! Thanks wabs for that!

We still need to work on our profile but videos and original versions of the songs are already on the site. So enjoy!

I can feel the heat

A month ago, I was enjoying the cold air in Hong Kong and now, summer is scorching hot and we can feel the heat even inside the house. I am still in the night shift, so that means I have to sleep during the day. And everybody knows how hot it is during the day and I had no choice but to endure it. For me, the hardest part is trying to sleep in this condition and another is the feeling waking up with all sweaty. The husband was thinking of getting outdoor furniture so I could sleep in the shaded part of the backyard. Yes, that's so sweet right.

Vegas anyone?

They say that, if you want to see the world -- Go to Las Vegas. I was not convinced until I read a blog entry from a friend when she and her boyfriend went to Las Vegas few months back. It's really amazing how they put up that tourist spot where everybody seemed to want to go. My friend posted, what to do and what not to do in Vegas. She gave trip on Las Vegas hotels, tourist spots, places to go, what to eat, what to do and what to wear. Amazing. Maybe I'll read her blog entry again before I go to Las Vegas.

Holy week passed just like that for me because, again, we had no house help. Good thing we can depend on my SIL. Little angel spend the holy week there while I did errands in the house, plus office time during night time. It's hard but that's life. Now we're back home and waiting for our new house help. Hope everything turns out okay this time because I got so many things to do.

"baby GK"

Here's a new addition to our family of instruments - GALLIEN-KRUEGER Backline 110. My dad bought it five days ago and I already used it last Thursday during the band practice. The sound is a lot crispier than my Carvin bass amp and it's compact and small too. This unit is something different for me because it includes an overdrive, so I have an opportunity to experiment more. I love the sound and size. Great for solo practice. I call em "Baby GK".

Better to be safe

Better safe than sorry has been my motto ever since I had a family of my own. I'm thinking of my family's health now than ever. That's why I did some research on some common symptoms like constipation, fatigue, parasitic infections, bad breath, a protruding belly, hemorrhoids, yeast infections, irritable bowel syndrome, headaches, back aches, and acne. I never knew that it would came from unhealthy colon. That's why I'm researching more on the best colon cleansing in the market because I had to admit that I experience some of those symptoms lately.

On sale

I noticed recently my friend's sister in Hong Kong is always online in yahoo messenger. I remembered when we were there, we convinced her to purchase a laptop because wireless is accessible there wherever she goes. So I think she finally took our advise and got a new lenovo laptop which they had on Sale in a nearby electronic store there. I'm glad she did bought one, because a laptop is one tool for communication. Now, we can stay in touch everyday.

proud of my mom

We have a big party tomorrow night because it's our mom's 60th birthday. At this age, I can say that she had accomplished a lot in her life. One of which is us, her six daughters, who had graduated successfully. Now she's living the life that she loves, together with her three grand daughters. At this point, we are thinking of giving back all the support and love she had given to us all these years. And we thought of getting her and our dad a couple of cruises abroad. We knew that it's time for them to enjoy the fruits of labour.

Attorney search

I heard from a friend that we have a family problem regarding the real estate their father bought years ago. I know I am not suppose to intrude and of course I'm not going to spit it out to everybody just like that. My friend is a good person. They deserve respect and privacy of whatever family problems they have. The reason for my permitted intrusion is that I want to be educated. Knowing what's going is better so we can prevent the same scenario in the future. I volunteered to help out that's why I'm conducting attorney search these past few days. Growing up

My little angel is progressing everyday in terms of her appetite, social skills and motor skills. She eats plenty of rice and snacks all day. That's good news for us because unlike before, she rarely eats at all. This girl like to play with other kids new age or even older. She's very confident and not shy at all. And the other day, I was surprised when she draw a face in her coloring book, complete with eyes, nose, lips and hair. Now we starting to check insurance rates because her future is everything to me.

Super friends conquers Hong Kong - Day 2

So after breakfast hinatid kami ni Ate Karen hangang Snoopy's world.

~ MTR/KCR to Shatin station ~

In other words, more jump shots to come... ~

In other words, bahala na kami sa buhay namin after nun.

Sinundan namin yung arrow na patungo daw 10,000 Buddhas -- Park road, pass IKEA, turn left at eto ang nakita namin. Wow ganda!
Man: chin chun shu.. chin chun shui....chong.. chung....?!
Woman: Tung ching shi... tung ching shi...tong chung kung!

Translation:
Man: Baket kaya sila nag hagdan e may escalator naman?!
Woman: oo nga eh. Muka tuloy silang tanga! tsk!

Ang founder, the venerable Yuet Kai. He founded the Monastery in 1951. The construction was finished in 1957. Born into a rich family, at the age of 19 he dedicated his life to Buddhism, burning his two smallest fingers on his left hand and cutting a piece of flesh as big as his hand from his chest to light forty-eight oil lamps to show his dedication to Buddhism. He then set out on a life studying Buddhism and helping all in need that he came across. Pa-kopya malen ah LOL.

Gloomy at madilim na nun at akalain mong inabutan kami ng ulan on the way down. Sira ang beauty namin. Not to mention the boots -- nabasa lahat!

Ruthie: Uy oh! Up size fries and drink - $2 lang. Oh ano dare?! Up-size?
Malen: Cge! Cge!
Aimz: Cge! Cge! Gutom nako eh.
She: ..................................... *no comment kase*
Lizzie: Wow! dare ba? Cge go ako!

Getting a car

I was happy for my friend when we came to know that she was engaged with her long time boyfriend and they are moving back to her fiance' home in Texas. We are still in contact as of now and it's good to know that she really likes it there. The people, culture and the weather. She's having so much fun. Now she got all the papers she needed to get a job and fortunately, she got a job. But she asked me if she should get a car of her own. I suggested that she'd get auto insurance in Texas first then decide which car to buy. Insurance is important especially if we concern about our safety. I wish her luck on driving lessons.

Super friends conquers Hong Kong - Day 1

This is our much awaited trip of the year. Our flights were booked as early as December 25, 2008, we saved money and planned the IT. This HK trip with the super friends is indeed an experience to remember and made the bond even more tight. I brought home more then 2,000 pictures and I just finished uploading them *whew*. So here's our story...

Day 1.

I got out from office that morning of March 4, 2009, then I hurried home to fix some more things I need to bring. We waited for Aimz at McDo Que ave. so we could go to the airport together. We arrived at terminal 3 at around 1:30pm and the rest of the super friends were already waiting for us.

~ In front of the check-in counter at terminal 3. ~

When our bags were in, we bought snacks on the second floor. Terminal 3 is far more spacious than the other terminals. But some of the stalls are not yet occupied.

~ View from the second floor. ~

We passed the immigration counter and got on the plane just in time. This is my first time to fly with cebu pac so I was praying that it's a smooth one - it was.

~ Getting inside the plane ~

The flight lasted for 2 hours and before we knew it, we were in Hong Kong! We were greeted by different faces and the airport was... huge! It's very different when the first time I got there... 12 years ago.

~ Baggage counter. ~

We got to the boarding house at exactly 9:30PM. We settled down and went out to check the neighborhood. The place we stayed was in the heart of the city so it was easy for us to get around. We found ourselves at the Golden Lake restaurant, in front of Kawloon Park, and there we had dinner. We all had assorted noodles and the servings were surprisingly plenty. Good for two. So obviously, we had so many left overs. Sayang!

~ I think I ordered beef noodles. ~

After that interesting dinner, we headed back to our place and hit the sack because it was a big day for us the next day. See pictures *here*

No place like home

It's good to be back home. There's no place like home - as they usual say. Although I loved the people and weather in Hong Kong, something stills pulls me back home. My family of course is the main reason, second is work and third is the food. Me and my friends ate mostly on fast foods there and as we all know, it's bad. I felt that I gained a lot ever since we stayed there. But my sister said, I lost a little weight. Maybe because we walked a lot during our trips. And since I'm home, it's time to get back on my diet routine and get a weight loss product because summer is fast approaching.

Back home!

Super friends are back home! The plane landed 55 pass 11 in the evening yesterday and Thank GOD the flight was smooth. Eight day stay in Hong Kong is just not enough because there's so many places to go. But we had fun and trip was truly an experience for us. Wondering on our own in the foreign land was truly an adventure. We really survived Hong Kong LOL. People in the street were very well dressed, we really loved the weather and not to mention the food. They serve big sizes. One order is good for two here. That's why we were stuffed all time. Now that I'm home, it's time to catch up. It's time to check for the best weight loss pills so I could look great this summer.

Travel

In two days, me and my super friends will be flying to Hong Kong for an eight-day vacation. This is the most anticipated vacation ever because we will be going to a foreign land. And most of my super friends will be traveling abroad for the first time. And for me, this is my second time to go to Hong Kong but it's been years. I can't even remember the streets where we went or the night market. Good thing, one of my friend's sister is working there. She will be assisting us when we get there. She even booked us the hotel where we'll be staying there. We got discounts too on extended stay hotels because they go there a lot. Can't wait for Wednesday to come.

Wordless Wednesday

More themes

I love to park and visit my friend's blogs. I used to spend hours on the laptop just to visit them all. Sometimes, I visit other blogs just to make friends. Then I noticed a blogger friend of mine who always change his template. Maybe he's undecided? I don't know. But I think there's so many wordpress themes that he wants to try them all. If I were in his shoe, I would have done it too.

Jam & Party

It's my birthday tomorrow!!! But I celebrated with my closest friends yesterday. To start it off... my sister surprised me with my birthday banner. Me and Edward Cullen! LOL! I love it!

~ Happy Birthday to me!!! ~

Band practice with MARRY ME AMY after lunch. This is actually our first practice for this year and we plan to record our song one of these days.

~ Marry Me Amy makin' music. ~

I discovered my sister's friend can actually make customized party hats so I asked her friend to make some for my birthday. These hats will serve has a souvenir for them after the party. My friends were really impressed with the hats. Even I was surprised with the outcome.

~ Super friends with party hats! ~

~ Of course, super friends with party hats and the my birthday banner! ~

Eating time! My mom and I prepared spag, ordered KFC chicken, cooked ham served with bread and vegetable salad. Superfriends ordered a cake from Red Ribbon. Everything was simple. Just the way I liked it.

~ Meal time with my family and closest friends. ~

Drinking session. It was not the same as my 3 previous birthdays were everyone was dead drunk everywhere hahaha! We had a nice chat with Fundador and Red wine on our table and of course more picture taking!

~ Friends come and go, but only the true friends stay... ~

Everyone enjoyed the night especially me. Till next year...

adventure

Me and the hubby loves to pack and go somewhere where we can spend the night with some friends. And most of our friends loved to go to the beach or somewhere remote where there's no electricity. Yes, we love adventure. The last time we went was two years ago where we camped beside the beach. Now we're itching for more adventure this summer. I experienced sleeping in the most uncomfortable places but it's all part of the fun. Sometimes I think of sleeping in one of those sleep number bed I saw on the Internet.

Normal again

My mother in law, who took a 4 week vacation, went back to the States last Monday. The house is starting to be normal again. In terms of visitors we get everyday and of course, the errands we had to do. Not to mention the places we visited which means we're always on the go almost everyday. We even had a 3-day trip to Palawan a week ago. Now, I have so many things to post and tell but time is still my enemy. I always end up in a hurry or sometimes late. Sometimes I feel that I'm after time which is kind of tiring. But like I said, the house is beginning to feel the same again. It's quiet with only the little angel making noises. I can't wait to have more free time of my own because I'm eagerly excited to play the best online casino on the Internet. But for now, the sun is rising which means I have to sleep... for now. More updates soon.

For our mother

My mother is turning 60 this coming March and we are all excited. Me and my sisters are planning a big surprise party for her. We could rent a place, order delicious food, set-up a band and invite the closest relatives and friends for her. But she kept saying that she wants to go somewhere abroad to celebrate her birthday. She's thinking of a grand getaway like Vegas vacations. Well we agreed that she'll go but we're still having a party when she comes back.

Watches

I was never fond of wearing a wrist watch, because unfortunately, some gave me allergies on my wrist. Those allergies sometimes lasts a couple of months that's why it's been years since the last time I wore one. My mother's birthday is fast approaching so me and my sister was thinking of what to give to our mom. A Audemars Piguet maybe? These watches are too expensive for us but if I win the lottery, I'll buy mom one of those for sure.

Happy Heart's day

Happy heart's day to all... from us.

mount it

When we visited my sister the other week, I noticed that she redecorated their house. The dishes are well kept in the cabinet with wire baskets and dining table is centered by a gorgeous bowl with fresh fruits. It was indeed refreshing to see a new look once in awhile. What caught my eye was the LCD mount in the living room. It was a good idea because it gave the living room more space for the kids to play. Now I'm thinking of installing one in our bedroom.

Palawan

We are off to a fantastic weekend. Yes, we are going to Palawan tomorrow. I'm so excited to go here... more pictures when I get back!

Congratulations

Ever since the world is connected to the Internet, most of the people I know are always online. I can easily talk to them with just one click of a finger. Even the ones that I haven't seen in years. My friends, classmates and my former colleagues. Now that I have a family, occasions are very celebrated. With the use of the Internet, I could easily send out invitations, thank you cards, greeting cards and even wedding congratulations. Everything is done on the Internet which makes it easier.

Trip

Me and 3 more of my friends are on our way to Hong Kong this coming March. We have been planning this trip since December and we are all very excited about it. Two of the friends are fixing their passport renewal and the others are researching where we can go there for 7 days. We plan to go to Ocean park and Disney land, one of the famous places there. I hope we get to sleep in one of those fancy hotels that I saw on the Internet, just like the New York City hotel.

Renovations

We are still planning to have our kitchen renovated. I already talked to my sister who is an Architect and we already agreed on some designs and interior for the kitchen. We plan to replace the tiles with granite and put a stainless sink that will match the our accessories. Our goal is to have a modern and durable kitchen what will last a long time. She said, she can get discount kitchen faucets from one of her suppliers too. I can't wait to start.
